Second week at work - 2. - 6. November 2015

My second week at work.

It was really cold outside on Monday and Tuesday.
Have met other worker Mr. Roth. Mainly have worked on website for MalTroBau - GmbH this week; my knowledge in coding have helped. Went to the school  with Mr. Toth and Mr. Roth to install 4 projectors. On Wednesday morning, has presented  to Mr. Toth what I have made. He liked what I have made, of course he asked to change some things, but mainly he was satisfied. He shaved my and Mr. Reimches' websites to the client, unfortunately to me client preferred Mr. Reimches' website, but I'm really happy that I had such opportunity. 
Also have changed the picture with they partners on their website(duplicate), and after that, they have decided, that they need to remake their website compliantly. 
Once again when end of the week had come I have asked Mr. Schröder (supervisor from school) if I could stay in Administrator24 for my whole on-the-job-learning time. I might stay, didn't received a specific answer from Mr. Schröder.

On Friday decided to go to the center. Walked there a bit took some pictures enjoyed the view and some ice cream. =) Also found a really nice tea shop(I love tea). So this trip was nice. 

Also went to the Kik-store, which is located next to the Lidl, it's a very chip shop...and you can find almost everything in there.

On Saturday we made a trip till Nürnberg!

Got there by bus and the train. It was mainly shop trip, but I managed to capture some good views.

On Sunday I just relaxed, cleaned a bit around the flat, also walked around the area; have captured very beautiful sunset!

First week at work 26. - 30. October 2015

My first week at work.

It's located outside the Bamberg in the village Bischberg.

It takes me 45 min to get there and 35 min to get home, I'm so lucky to have a bike, it helps a lot. Work always started and ended at 17.00, except Friday it ended at 15.00. 

I have met my boss Mr. Toth and other workers, Mr. Reimche and Mr. Aßmann. We work in the Mr. Thot own house; so he have work place downstairs, and he and his family live upstairs.
Mr. Toth cannot speak English fluently, so Mr. Reimche is the one who

"helps" me. They gave me my own workplace, which is nice. 
To my surprise Mr. Reimche lives almost across the street from my house, so we ride home together.

This week I have installed XAMPP(X(any of four different operating systems), Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl)) and WordPress computer that I was given. Also accompanied Mr. Toth to several places, like orphanage, were we changed the RAID and then on the second morning cheeked RAID:s work state via computer. Also went with Mr. Toth to the school; they had problem connecting to the internet. We were there until the end of the workday.
Mr. Reimche disassembled one old computer and told me to put it back together. After that he said that I need to install software. Installed Debian 8; tried to install LAMP(Apache, Mysql, Php) on computer, that I would be able to install OsTicket on it later on. Had some problems with doing that.. I have managed to install osTicket, but not on Linux, like I wanted, but on Windows.
Mr. Reimche was "building" a gaming PC for a client, it was really interesting to watch.
Mr. Toth had showed me how to plug wires in to the internet socket, there was two ways to do it:

• More older one, but cheaper.
• Newer version and simpler, but more expensive.

On Thursday talked with Mr. Schröder about the opportunity to stay at Administrator24 for one more week; mentioned that Mr. Toth wasn't against it. Mr. Schröder said that he would talk to them.

On Friday Mr. Schröder informed me that I can stay for one more week at Administrator24, I'm happy, I like it here. Mr. Toth said that he doesn't mind if I want to make my own projects (like installing osTicket), but he wants me to make a website for a company named MalTroBau - GmbH, with WordPress(an actual website that he can use and sell). I got material, pictures, text and other. I have made a bit on Friday, but will continua next week. The whole thing excites me! So, for now I have left my Debian 8 project. 

I decided to go to the Bamberg old city on Friday, because the workday ends earlier than on the other days. 

So far I can say that I really like it here in Bamberg. I like the place where I live, like the weather, and the German people, they are so friendly and social, love it.

Saturday and Sunday 24.-25. October 2015

It was really "quiet" weekends.

In the evening on Saturday came the flat owner - Andreas, he brought few things and took some of his stuff from the small office upstairs. 

Also on Sunday I went to look on my future job place. I need to be there tomorrow at 9 am, and it will be better if i don't get lost. Like GoogleMaps have told me it's about 40 min trip. Not to bad, it's actually good, the biggest part of the trip is near the lake so it's very beautiful.

The tiers on my bike is are almost empty, don't know how to solve this problem. Tried the Gas station, but they only have pumps for car...

So it was my first week here. I'm pretty exited about future 8 weeks.

Went to the school, have meet Mr. Richter, he showed me school; he introduced me to Mr. Schröder, who will be my "boss" at the school, he also made a small excursion and introduced to me more school staff. He also gave me a laptop, so I could work on it.

I also got a bike from Mr. Richter. After that we went to the city to find me sim-card for my phone. We got the card in the Aldi shop and Mr. Richter called Mr. Udo and told him, that three other girls also can get the same cards.

I'm very glad that I got a bike, it helps a lot.

After I got the sim-card we went back to the school. I met Mr. Shröder and he told me a bit what I'm about to do in the school. Basically I will spend the rest of the week at school, and after that I will go to some company, after that I will return to the school again; probably will spend some time at school, and then again will go to some company. We will see in the future how it goes.

Other girls also got the bikes, they will pay 1€ per day, so 60€ for whole stay here.

Everyone were very nice and friendly. =)

Wednesday 21. October 2015

Went to the school, it started at 8.30. It isn't so far from the flat, about 2 km.

Mr. Schröder gave me a task to find out how osTicket works and install it on VirtualBox, so particularity it shouldn't be hard, but still a had some problems and didn't manage to install it.

After the school went to by some food, and get a bit lost...

It wasn't scary at all to be there, I'm very exited about this opportunity that I'm given.

Also Mr. Schröder gave me a key from doors (work-, teachers- and toilet room), that I could walk around the school without him, because he isn't always around.

When I finally got home, was to tired to walk around the city.

I can't take the key from school, so each morning I take it from secretary, and in the evening give it back to her.So I got the key and went to Work room.

The whole day I was alone.

All four of us decided to go out  to the city. There was a lot of people, like RALLY a lot of people. The beer we tasted wasn't good.

Friday 23. October 2015

Got to school - got the key. Went with Mr. Schröder to the teachers room, he needed me to run a update on all of teachers laptops, and also to change some other staff to (hard to enplane). Basic stuff, which needed to be done.

So after lunch he told me that whole next week I will spend at the company Administrator24, and I can decide:

Stay at the Administrator24 for two weeks, or come back to school after one week, and do some other stuff. 

For now we agreed on one week.

The company Administrator24 is 9 km from the place where I live, it's outside the Bamberg; with my speed it's about 40 min to get there and 40 to get back home.

After that came Mr. Righter and took me to one IT class, with the students who are on their second year. It was okay, they did the same things we did last year (I also was a second year student).

On my way home got to the bakery and bought some...

At evening we walked a bit around the city center.
